In August 2015, I was diagnosed with late on-set Type 1 Diabetes. At first this was a whirlwhind of emotions causing depression and for me to think this disease one of the worse things that could have happened to me.
Instead it has been a blessing in disguise. I have discovered a new love for healthy food, nutrition and a balanced holistic lifestyle and I was to share with everyone my new found passions.
I love to bake and cook healthy, low carb alternatives of all of our favourite foods to nourish our bodies and not affect our blood sugar levels. I manage all of this in between studying holistic nutrition and raising awareness around Type 1 Diabetes.
